1 Who may use the website

You must be able to form a valid agreement under the law that applies to you. If you are under 18, use obituary submission or paid features only with a parent or legal guardian. If you use the website for a funeral home, organization or another person, you confirm that you have authority to act for them.

2 What Legend Memorial provides

Legend Memorial provides tools and content for finding obituaries, publishing memorial notices, preserving life stories, sharing service information, posting tributes and accessing general grief resources. We may review a submission, ask for clarification, format it for readability or decline to publish it.

Legend Memorial is not a funeral home, medical provider, counsellor, law firm, government registry or emergency service. Articles and grief resources provide general information and are not medical, legal or professional advice.

3 Submitting an obituary or memorial

When you submit an obituary, photograph, service detail or memorial update, you confirm that:

• The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
• You are a family member, authorized representative, funeral-home representative or otherwise have a legitimate right to submit it.
• You have permission to publish personal details, photographs, quotations and other protected material.
• The submission does not expose private addresses, identification numbers, financial information, confidential medical details or other unsafe information.
• The content does not violate law, court orders, intellectual-property rights or the rights of another person.

Submitting a notice does not guarantee publication. We may contact you to confirm details. A submitted notice should remain pending until it has been reviewed and approved for publication.

4 Public memorial pages

Published memorial pages can be viewed, copied, linked to and indexed by search engines worldwide. Before submitting, consider whether the family is comfortable making each detail public. Do not rely on the website as the only copy of important photographs or records.

We aim to preserve memorial pages, but we cannot promise that any page or feature will remain available permanently or without interruption. Technical, legal, safety or operational needs may require changes, suspension or removal.

5 Guestbook and tribute messages

If guestbook messages are set to publish automatically, your message may become public as soon as you submit it. Do not include information you want to keep private. You are responsible for what you post.

Guestbook messages must be respectful and relevant. We may remove spam, advertising, impersonation, threats, harassment, hate, explicit material, private information, malicious links, false accusations or content that violates another person’s rights. Families and authorized representatives may ask us to review a message, but removal is not guaranteed where another legal right applies.

6 Content rules

You must not submit, post or use the website to distribute content that:

• Is knowingly false, misleading, defamatory, threatening, harassing or abusive.
• Invades privacy or reveals sensitive information without a proper reason and permission.
• Infringes copyright, trademark, publicity or other rights.
• Contains malware, automated spam, deceptive links or unauthorized advertising.
• Promotes illegal activity or creates a serious safety risk.
• Attempts to interfere with the website, collect user data without permission or bypass security controls.

7 Ownership and permission to use submitted content

You keep any ownership rights you have in content you submit. You give Legend Memorial a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to host, store, reproduce, format, display and distribute that content only as reasonably needed to operate, promote and protect the memorial service. This permission allows us to create technical copies, resize images, show excerpts in listings and search results, and use service providers that help operate the website.

You may request removal of your submitted content. Removal may be limited where another authorized person has rights in the memorial, the content must be kept for legal reasons, or copies remain temporarily in backups, caches or search engines outside our control.

8 Legend Memorial content and branding

The website design, logo, original articles, templates, software and branding belong to Legend Memorial or its licensors. You may view and share links for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, scrape, republish, sell or create a competing database from the website without written permission or another lawful basis.

9 Copyright and rights complaints

If you believe a photograph, obituary, article or other material violates your copyright or another legal right, email help@legendmemorial.com and include:

1. Your name and contact details.
2. A clear description of the protected work or right.
3. The exact Legend Memorial page address containing the disputed material.
4. Why you believe the use is unauthorized or unlawful.
5. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and submitted in good faith.

We may temporarily restrict disputed content while reviewing a complaint and may ask the submitter for evidence of permission.

10 Corrections and removal requests

A close family member, authorized representative, funeral home or person with a legitimate concern may request a correction or removal. We may ask for identity, relationship and authority documents before making a material change. We will consider accuracy, safety, family wishes, public-interest concerns and applicable law.

11 Fees payments and refunds

A basic obituary notice may be offered free of charge. If Legend Memorial offers a paid memorial, photo gallery, video, flower, tree or partner service, the price, included features, payment terms and any refund rules will be shown before you place the order. A third-party provider may apply its own terms and refund policy.

You must provide accurate billing information and are responsible for authorized charges. Taxes, delivery fees or partner charges may apply when displayed.

12 Third party services and links

Links to funeral homes, florists, tree-planting providers, payment services, social networks and other websites are provided for convenience. Legend Memorial does not control their availability, content, prices, privacy practices or performance. Your dealings with them are governed by their own terms.

13 Website availability and changes

We may update, suspend or discontinue part of the website for maintenance, security, legal or operational reasons. We will try to avoid unnecessary disruption but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Search results may be incomplete, delayed or affected by spelling, location data or indexing.

14 Disclaimer

The website and its content are provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that every obituary, date, biography, service detail, search result or third-party link is complete, current or error-free. Submitters remain responsible for the content they provide. Nothing in these terms excludes a guarantee or right that applicable consumer law does not allow us to exclude.

15 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Legend Memorial will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of the website, public memorial content, third-party services, loss of data or interrupted access. Our total liability for a paid service will not exceed the amount paid for that specific service, except where law requires otherwise. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

16 Responsibility for claims

If your unlawful submission or misuse of the website causes a claim against Legend Memorial, you agree to be responsible for the reasonable losses and costs caused by that conduct, to the extent permitted by law. We will give reasonable notice of a claim and allow appropriate participation in its defence.

17 Suspension and termination

We may restrict access, reject a submission or remove content when we reasonably believe these terms have been violated, a legal or safety concern exists, or action is needed to protect users or the website. Provisions concerning ownership, permissions, disclaimers, liability, disputes and other terms that logically continue will survive termination.

18 Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without limiting mandatory consumer or privacy rights that apply where you live. Courts with lawful jurisdiction in Punjab, Pakistan will handle disputes unless applicable law requires another forum. 19 Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the website and services change. We will publish the revised version and update the effective date. Continued use after the new terms take effect means you accept them, where permitted by law. If a change requires separate consent, we will request it.
